Outdoors adds three things a hall never does: wind, weather and distance. Kit that behaves perfectly in an exhibition centre can be a liability in an open car park.
These are the displays we supply most often for markets, festivals, sporting events, roadshows and outdoor activations - chosen because they travel, they go up without tools, and they hold their shape in the open.
What works outdoors
- Branded marquees and gazebos - do two jobs at once: keep your team and stock out of the weather, and put your colours up where they can be seen across a field or car park. Tool-free setup, and each one packs into a carry bag.
- Promotional flags - lightweight vertical signage that moves with the breeze and reads from a long way off. Usually the cheapest way to be findable.
- Banners and banner stands - for the detail people read once they are close, rather than the signal that gets them there.
- Custom outdoor builds - when the activation needs something that is not off a shelf, designed around transport, weight and how it is anchored.
Worth deciding before you brief anyone
- How exposed is the site? Wind is the thing that decides most outdoor kit. An open sports field and a sheltered courtyard need different answers, and both need ballast or anchoring.
- Who is putting it up, and with what? If it is two staff with no tools and no vehicle access, that rules a lot in and out immediately.
- How many times will it go up? A kit used across a season of events takes more punishment than one built for a single weekend.
- Is there power on site? It decides whether screens and lighting are an option at all.
