How do I assemble a fabric display wall (SuperWall or SEG frame)?

What is a fabric display wall?

A fabric display wall is an aluminium frame covered by a printed fabric graphic. Our range has two kinds, and they go together differently:

  • SuperWall: the frame sections click together, and a one-piece fabric skin slides over the whole frame like a big pillowcase, then zips closed.
  • Brandframe: a SEG (Silicone Edge Graphic) frame. The fabric has a silicone edge around it, which you press into a groove in the aluminium frame.

Neither needs tools to fit the graphic, though the Brandframe frame itself locks together with a small key tool supplied with it. One person should be able to put up a SuperWall in less than 10 minutes. A Brandframe should take one person no more than 10 minutes, depending on its size, including feeding in the graphic.

Standard SuperWall widths are 2.4m, 3m and 6m at 2.25m high; a 1m-wide wall is a custom build. Shopping centre-height versions are 1.5m high; ask us about the width you need. A standard Brandframe exhibition wall is 2.4m, 3m or 6m wide and 2.35m high.

Why does the order of assembly matter?

The fabric is what keeps the wall looking smooth. On a SuperWall, the zip pulls the skin tight around the frame, so a frame that isn't fully clicked together shows up as wrinkles. On a Brandframe, a graphic pressed in unevenly pulls to one side. Build the frame first, and the fabric does the rest.

Use the following steps to assemble a SuperWall

These steps work for the straight wall and the curved SuperWall.

1. Unpack the carry bag and lay out the frame sections and the fabric skin on a clean floor.

2. Click the frame sections together. They're joined by elastic cord and click to connect. Push every joint until it clicks.

3. Attach the feet, if your wall uses them, and stand the frame up.

4. Slide the fabric skin over the top of the frame and pull it down evenly on both sides, like a pillowcase.

IMPORTANT: Check the graphic is facing the right way before you pull it all the way down. The skin is printed on both sides, so make sure your front artwork faces the front.

5. Finally, close the zip all the way. The zip tensions the fabric, which smooths out the creases. You're done!

Use the following steps to assemble a Brandframe (SEG) wall

1. Lay out the aluminium frame lengths on the floor in the shape of the wall.

2. Lock the lengths together with the key lock tool supplied with the system.

Note: For larger walls, it's much easier with two people.

3. Fit the feet and stand the frame up. A standard Brandframe exhibition wall comes with two feet.

4. Fit the four corners first. Press the silicone edge into the groove at the two top corners, then at the two bottom corners.

5. Then fill in the edges: the top, then the bottom, then both sides. Press the silicone edge into the groove a little at a time so the fabric stays even.

6. Finally, step back and check the graphic sits square, with no ripples. If one side pulls, ease that edge out and press it back in. You're done!

How do I pack it down?

Pack down in reverse. On a SuperWall, open the zip, slide the skin up and off the frame, then pull the frame sections apart. On a Brandframe, pull the silicone edge out of the groove, starting at a corner, before you take the frame apart with the key lock tool.

Fold the fabric loosely and pack it with the frame in the carry bag or case. Our fabric graphics can be machine washed cold, so a marked skin can be cleaned between shows.
